For Your Information -- Information, Technology, Society
An occasional newsletter on technology and society
by Jon Seidel, Editor/Publisher
The newsletter is an eclectic collection of in-depth articles, product reviews, and interesting tidbits gleaned from our experiences in the world of technology. We tend to focus on those areas which are a nexus of: information, the use of technology, and societal impact. We are also interested in how technology is used and how well (or not so well) technology is integrated into our daily lives. We've presented articles on spam, privacy, virus hoaxes, security tips, and information collection by the government. These articles usually include links to sources and other relevant websites.
Based on hands-on use, we will from time to time present product reviews (hardware, software, or general technology) give our recommendation or warning based on our findings.
We're interested in how other people are experiencing technology so we will occasionally pose questions and ask for response from our readers, with the intent of publishing the results.
Occasionally we'll include links to "Wacky Websites" that we find particularly amusing or ingenious... just for fun.
Feedback is welcomed, and may be published in subsequent newsletters. Suggestions for topics and pointers to information content is appreciated.
